Weekend Wear: Colour Block Maxi Dress, RM Mini MAC | Singlet and Shorts, Mulberry Alexa

Here's what I wore to go shopping with DH and pick up my new camera yesterday:

Bracelets: the usual plus two beaded Sportsgirl Butterfly Foundation bracelets, Lovisa 'Collette by Collette Dinnigan' twisted bow charm bracelet in silver, Lovisa 'Collette by Collette Dinnigan' heart charm bracelet in silver and enamel coated Marc By Marc Jacobs Katie bracelet in pink.
Dress: Cotton On Colour blocked maxi in black / Algiers blue
Shoes: Wittner 'Jasmarie' studded sandals
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC with python embossed leather in Aquamarine

Wore a simple dress as it was a hot day. Cooper's smile is the cutest! :)
Went to the stores to try out some cameras and decide which one to buy. My old camera had something get into the lens a few weeks ago and it can't be cleaned out. As the zoom functionality broke a while ago too it was definitely time to upgrade. DH was very sweet and gave me an IOU for a camera for Christmas, knowing that I hadn't picked the perfect replacement yet. Together we picked the Sony NEX5R digital camera in store today. The SA Lisa in Camera House was so helpful! I'm really impressed with how much functionality the camera has for blogging and I'm excited to use it for future posts.

Had a relaxing Sunday today, and had the chance to play around with my new camera to take today's outfit pictures. Have been learning where everything is and taking as many different pictures as possible to get a feel for all of the new settings. Have been following Cooper around all day trying to get different shots of him, haha! It's good he is such a patient little dog.

Wanted to wear something comfortable yet suitable for dinner, so I went for a printed dress again. I really like the print on this dress and thought it would go well with my yellow clutch. I need to make an effort to wear my clutches more often, and yesterday was a good day to do so as I didn't have to carry much. The tan sandals seemed like an obvious choice to match the tan belt the dress came with.


The sunnies were last worn here, and clutch here. This is the first time I've worn the dress as it was a recent gift, and first time I've worn the sandals as they were a recent sale purchase.

Just a nice casual outfit to beat the heat today! I was a little worried that this top would be too long to pair with the shorts and I'm not 100% convinced now I see the photos. Won't pair these shorts and that tank together again. What do you think?

Had a nice relaxing start to the year at my in-laws house with a BBQ and some games. I wanted to wear this skirt and also wanted to carry my Balenciaga clutch, so I tried a mix of gold and silver with this outfit. I'm not sure it really worked, wouldn't pair this skirt and clutch together again. Was pleased with the photo location though - wearing a blossom tee under beautiful purple blossoms!

So pleased that today had the perfect beach weather after our plans were rained out last week. We headed down to the gold coast to relax and soak up some sun. Although we got stuck in traffic on the way there, the perfect beach weather more than made up for it. Took this photo on our way back to the car so please excuse the wet beach hair! Wore my Zara tunic dress over my bikini to cover up and keep my shoulders hidden from the sun.
