A little pink and blue again. To be completely honest, I didn't need the scarf for warmth at all, I just really wanted to wear it and the tank together. Was glad to have it in the office though, it kept me warm when we had a meeting in one of the freezing meeting rooms, haha.

So nice to go jacket-less today! It was really warm and sunny. A maxi dress seemed like a nice alternative from jeans and a tee as DH and I went out to the movies. The scarf was nice to keep me cosy in the aircon at the cinema. We finally got to see "The Internship" movie we had tried to see last weekend but missed out on when it sold out. Quite a good film, made us giggle.
Had a skype date with the family in the evening, catching up on what my sister has been up to overseas.

We went to church with my parents for the Easter service in the morning, so I wore a cardi as it can get chilly with the aircon. Thought florals and pastel yellow was fitting for easter Sunday! The maxi dress was comfortable for the BBQ lunch at the in-laws too. Hope you had a lovely Easter, however you celebrated.

I spent a little bit of time this weekend trying to figure out how to organise my wardrobe better. One of the things I noticed is that I have an entire clothes rack of dresses that only get worn in warmer weather. With the rainy cool day on Sunday I took the chance to try wear my maxi dress. I really liked it with the scarf and boots, what do you think?

Nice and casual outfit for working from home. :) I did iron these pieces, but after sitting at the computer all day it doesn't look like it, haha.

Was very windy trying to take photos - poor Cooper got hit in the face by my skirt a few times! Was rather funny though. Just a nice practical outfit for Friday at work, as some people still had to move desks I made sure to wear a long skirt so I could help move and unplug things from under desks as needed. And of course, I wore my MbMJ Fran bag again. It's such a great bag!

Wore a simple dress as it was a hot day. Cooper's smile is the cutest! :)
Went to the stores to try out some cameras and decide which one to buy. My old camera had something get into the lens a few weeks ago and it can't be cleaned out. As the zoom functionality broke a while ago too it was definitely time to upgrade. DH was very sweet and gave me an IOU for a camera for Christmas, knowing that I hadn't picked the perfect replacement yet. Together we picked the Sony NEX5R digital camera in store today. The SA Lisa in Camera House was so helpful! I'm really impressed with how much functionality the camera has for blogging and I'm excited to use it for future posts.

Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day

Hope you all had a lovely Christmas with family and friends!

I enjoyed taking a couple of days away from the computer and spending time with my family. Sharing a couple of photos a day doesn't take long but it was nice to stay away from the computer for a while. Thought I'd try do one post to catchup for the missed blog posts. It's a long one, sorry.

Completely forgot to take a solo picture, so sharing this instagram photo of my outfit instead with my mum, sister and Cooper.

My sister bought us all these fun t-shirts to wear on Christmas eve. I thought it was a great idea, and made me feel very festive as we visited family and baked Christmas cookies. I suspect I'll be wearing the tee again next year! The bracelet had little bells inside so my sister and I jingled everywhere we went :)

Love the photo of Cooper taking a massive yawn, had to share that one with you all :) Almost looks like he is singing carols!

On Christmas day we went to church, opened presents, had an extremely delicious meal, visited both of our families and ended the day with a relaxing swim in the pool before we had guests around. It was a really busy but family-filled day, it was so nice. The food was lovely and the company even better.

Had a bit of a giggle with my sister when we realised we had both worn blue sunnies, maxi dresses and Balenciaga clutches. We have very similar taste :)


The shoes were last worn here and clutch here. It's the first time I've worn the dress and sunnies, both of which were birthday presents. A lot of my bracelet stack was made up of Christmas gifts.

Not the best outfit shot but I had to share with you the amazing view the venue had! We got to watch the sunset and there was even fireworks over the river. Just beautiful.

I wasn't sure what to expect for DH's work Christmas part as the dress code was "smart casual" which can have incredibly varied interpretations. I was happy with the maxi dress though, it was a very formal venue and I was comfortable all night. Some of the other ladies I met and chatted too had the same thoughts that I did - a dress always fits in! :)

These pink leopard sunnies have become my new go-to after my yellow ones broke! When we were out shopping yesterday we spotted a similar yellow pair, but they weren't as bright as my old ones so I'm going to keep looking and see if I can find an equally bright yellow pair to replace them.

Went out for lunch today and a bit of a walk to spend some time with my friend before coming home for Church Online in the evening. Wore a maxi dress to keep cool in the heat, and tied my hair back to help keep cool as well. Was surprised to find I'd only worn this dress once before on the blog, it's one of my favourites (although I don't like it with this belt today). Will need to wear it more often!

Met up with my friends today for a drink and a relaxing afternoon walk around Brisbane's southbank. It was the perfect chance to try out my new sunglasses courtesy of Firmoo. We stopped by the boardwalk to take some photos in the shade of the mangroves, it was nice. Although kind of funny having a group of friends there as I took blog photos! Today's photos were taken by my friend Gemma, you can check out her blog here if you're curious to know what living in Australia is like.

Antonio from Firmoo wrote to me a few weeks ago to kindly offer me a free pair of glasses. Firmoo have a huge range of lenses, you pick the ones you want and then the lenses (sunglasses, clear lenses or prescription lenses). It was such a warm day today we headed to the beach. As you can see from Cooper's face, it was also rather windy which made it difficult to get a good picture. My sun hat kept blowing off with the wind so after chasing it down the beach I put it into my bag for safe keeping!

While I did try to get some straight up and down blog photos, we gave up pretty quickly as the weather wasn't cooperating at all! I thought I'd share these ones instead from the set of photos we took of us and Cooper enjoying the beach. :) Much more relaxed photos. Please excuse my sandy feet, haha!
