I usually pick my clothes out the night before so I have a little bit of time to plan what I'm wearing. But on Tuesday night I stayed online quite late helping out at Church Online. It was busy and fun, but I was so tired when it was done. Just grabbed some nice easy pieces - can't go wrong with a printed dress - and the same bag I had the day before. Meant there was more time for sleep, even if you're not supposed to pair black and brown together!

The video at Church Online this week is a really moving one, answering the question "what can I do to help?" for the survivors of disasters, and the tornado in Oklahoma. Please check it out online if you have the time.

There have been a lot of celebrations at work recently after the success of our project, today was another with a casual dress day for a team event in the afternoon. We were warned there would be a lot of paint around, so I wore my washable converse shoes, jeans and a knit. I thought it balanced the line well between casual clothes you wouldn't mind getting paint splashed on and casual clothes for a free dress day in the office!

A very similar outfit to the last time I wore this skirt. I had planned to wear a nice warm knit jumper as the top, but it was more oversized than I remembered and didn't look good with the skirt. Really needs a more fitted top, so I dug out this old long sleeved top. The purple worked well with the skirt last time, so went with it again.

Last year I saw a few bloggers trying the "jumper over dress" look and looking great doing so. So I was excited to give it a try now it's cooler. I don't seem to have the perfect top for it though - it's a tricky thing to master! It's not as simple as just picking one I've found, you have to think about length and fit of the top. Still not sure if I like this look on me, but it did keep me cosy all day. If you have any tips for layering a jumper over a dress, please share! :)

Was quite warm in the sun after church, so I was glad I'd chosen the dress!

Pretty much wearing the exact same outfit as the last time I wore this dress, only with a leather jacket this time. It just works so well with boots and a Balenciaga, haha. Only found out that Wittner made leather jackets when this beautiful blue was one posted on their instagram a while ago. I kept thinking about it and eventually ordered it, along with the leather jacket from Asos above. I usually have a difficult time finding nice leather jackets so I thought if I get two, I might get lucky with one of them and could return the one that didn't work. Of course I kept them both. The colour and leather on this jacket are amazing. Bags are my go-to splurge items, but I made an exception in this case. I'm so pleased with it! :)

Unfortunately, today we had a really important meeting this afternoon, I had forgotten about. Since we were asked to dress more formally than the usual casual Friday wear, my friend and I popped out at lunchtime to shop so I could get a jumper to cover up my bare shoulders with! :)

Haha to be honest I was too cold to smile properly for the photos! Was warm in the office in my long sleeve top on Monday so wore a tank instead. But it made it really cold taking photos with just a blazer over the top.

The tank print has some pink in it, so I thought I'd wear a pink bag and shoes to match, then worried that may be too much pink and decided to carry the bayswater instead. In the photo you can't see the pink in the tank though, so probably could have worn a pink bag too.

This is one of the two new leather jackets I bought to keep me warm in this suddenly cold weather. I really like the print as it makes it different from my plain black leather jacket, and it being reduced from $335 made it even more tempting! Felt nice and warm wearing it, it will pop up a lot more often.

One last little note I want to add - If you have heard about the tornado in Oklahoma please consider doing what you can to help those impacted by it. My church, Life Church, has setup a page to show how you can help, and is collecting items for donations if you are local to the area. There is also the Red Cross, and more ways you can help on the NBC site. I've never been to Oklahoma and I only volunteer at Church Online, but many of my team members and the staff I know and work with are there as it's where the church grew. It's been horrible seeing what has happened there, and I'm praying for those who are dealing with the devastation.

Thank you for your good wishes over the weekend on my last post, the work went well. We celebrated in the office this morning, with balloons everywhere! So we had a little silly fun with them at lunch time.

Decided on tights, boots, long sleeved top and a jacket today as it was so cold! Lots of black but I thought the stripes and jacquard print kept it interesting. So pleased I got to wear my new skirt today too, will be a great winter piece! Unfortunately they don't have it on the Jeanswest website, but it is in some stores.

Interesting day today! Spent the day relaxing before heading into the office. Scheduled this post as I'm going into the office to work this evening. We get to wear casual clothes, so my awesome Church Online tee gets an outing. One of the many perks for volunteering at Church Online, they keep my tee collection growing :) Took a different detail shot today to show off the back.

The project I've been working on for over a year is going live this weekend, and that's why we are working. I'm extremely excited, so working on a Saturday night doesn't seem so bad. My favourite team members will be there in the office too. Wish us luck! :)

Received this dress on Tuesday, which is great considering I ordered it on Sunday! I've been doing little bits of wardrobe organisation here and there, and it's highlighted how few good basic items I have, so I placed a Glassons order as they had a good sale on basics. I got this dress and a couple of tops. Pleased how quick delivery was.
Probably should have worn a shorter cardi with this though to show the flare of the skirt better, I just thought the print would like nice against the black dress.

A lot of red today! Wanted to wear something warm. Still not too sure if the jacket and top and all of the red was too much together, but I felt comfortable and most importantly warm all day. Got DH to take a quick picture between a break in the rain, but that was the only time it stopped all day. Boots were the obvious choice, and comfortable for running around in the morning and going out in the evening.

Thankfully today the weather was a bit warmer, and a lot less rainy. Didn't have much to to, just wanted to relax today, so a really casual outfit of jeans and a tee. Shocked to find it's been over a year since I last wore this top though, crazy!

Please excuse the water droplets on my mini MAC - got it a little wet from bushing on the leaves of the bush in the photo. Didn't notice till I uploaded the photos, it dried up pretty quickly.

I had this top taken in a little at the tailor on the weekend so it fit perfectly. I even braved the cold to take a photo showing the gorgeous lace detail, it extends down the back too. It was a lovely gift from my mum. Added a blazer over the top for work, and when I went out for a birthday dinner in the evening I swapped the skirt for a warmer pair of skinny jeans.

Got this skirt back from the tailor this weekend. I only wore it twice last year as the length was a little odd on me. I got it taken up so I'm more comfortable in it and will wear it more often. It's got such a lovely colourful print on it, tried to bring out the purple a little with this top. In hindsight, probably should have picked a more contrasting background to stand against for the photo though, haha!
