It was Melbourne Cup day here in Australia today. Victorians get the day off for it, and the rest of the country gets a long lunch or a break in the afternoon to watch the Melbourne Cup horse race. There's usually a lot of great race day fashion going on as well, and at work we had competitions for best dressed and best hat.

I thought this dress was a good choice, office appropriate but not too boring for race day with everyone else dressed in their best. Printed dresses are nice like that. Unfortunately, I didn't pick the winning horses in the office sweeps. The masterpiece we made as a group did win the best hat award for the gentleman brave enough to wear our creation though!

Hope you had a lovely cup day and had better luck on the horses! :)
